PERU"SPRESIDENT EXTRADITED

Peru - Former President Alberto Fujimori arrived in Lima on Saturday after being extradited from Chile to face charges of corruption and sanctioning death-squad killings, a grim homecoming for the strongman who fled Peru seven years ago as his government collapsed in scandal.
Fujimori maintains a strong following — a recent poll showed that 23 percent of Peruvians want to see him back in politics — and some worry his return could provoke turmoil in a country emerging from decades of political and economic chaos.
"There will be a sector of the country that will identify with him, and he will play a destabilizing opposition role," said Javier Valle Riestra, a congressman and leader of President Alan Garcia's Aprista party.
Fujimori was widely admired for ushering in economic stability and defeating the Shining Path rebel movement during his 1990-2000 government, but his presidency increasingly came under fire as it drifted toward authoritarianism and evidence surfaced of corruption

AMERICA WON AGAIN

The match between the England female soccer team and the female team of the United State of America did not see large spectators but it the match many would wished they watch at the stadium live. The match which American won 3-0 started with a scoreless first half, Wambach banged in a header in the 48th minute, directing home a corner kick from Lilly before a crowd listed at 29,000, although far fewer fans seemed to be in 60,000-seat Olympic Center Stadium. It was her fourth goal of the tournament and her 81st for the national team in 100 appearances.
Boxx made it 2-0 in the 57th after Whitehill stripped the ball from England’s Jill Scott near midfield. The ball fell to Boxx, who scored on a low, long shot that went in off the fingertips of surprised England goalkeeper Rachel Brown.
In the 60th, Lilly finally broke through with her first goal of this tournament and her eighth in World Cup play. A long ball from Whitehill from across midfield bounced high and fooled Brown, who went far from the net. She leaped and could only tip it, with Lilly running in behind to knock it home.
England’s best chances came with Karen Carney and Eniola Aluko trying to organize most of the offense. But top striker Kelly Smith — four goals in this tournament — was marked out of the game by midfielder Leslie Osborne.

The Necklace

After she woke up, a woman told her husband, "I just dreamed that you gave me a pearl necklace for our anniversary. What do you think it means?" "You'll know tonight." he said. That evening, the man came home with a small package and gave it to his wife. Delighted, she opened it to find a book entitled "The Meaning of Dreams."

Two Patients

Two patients limp into two different medical clinics with the same complaint. Both have trouble walking and appear to require a hip replacement. The first patient is examined within the hour, is x-rayed the same day and has s time booked for surgery the following week. The second patient sees his family doctor after waiting 3 weeks for an appointment, then waits 8 weeks to see a specialist, then gets an x-ray, which isn't teviewed for another week and finally has his surgery scheduled for 6 months later. Why the different treatment for the two patients? The first patient is a Golden Retriever. The second patient is a senior citizen. Next time take me to a vet
